You're not in a lion's den. But the movie running in your head — the stories, the fears, the rehearsed reactions — might be more dangerous than one. This is what walking among 200kg lions taught me about being truly here.
"If I allow fear — even for one second — I am finished." — Kevin Richardson, The Lion Whisperer
"The only place you can lead, create, connect, and heal — is here. Right now."
The Method
The meeting you lost. The deal that fell through. The moment your child stopped running to greet you. They weren't three different problems — they were the same one: you were living in a story your head was producing, not in reality.
Maximum Presence works from the inside out, not the outside in. Drawn from Kevin Richardson's world — a man who cannot afford a single second inside his own head while standing among wild lions — this framework shows you how to step out of the movie and into what's actually here.
The Creator of Maximum Presence
Entrepreneur Keynote Speaker Activist Business Leader
I started in high-tech. Then I discovered that lions were facing extinction — and I walked away from everything to fight for them. That decision changed my life in ways I never expected.
One of the first people I encountered in that world was Kevin Richardson — the Lion Whisperer. For years, I admired his work from a distance. Then he posted a giveaway on Instagram. I didn't win.
But Kevin reached out to me directly. What started as a message became a daily exchange — and grew into one of the most genuine, powerful friendships of my life. Through the hardest period of the war, he supported me. And through his work with lions, he taught me something that no leadership book had ever shown me:
That the most powerful thing a human being can do — in a lion's den, in a boardroom, in a crisis — is to be completely present. Not fighting. Not strategizing. Just here.
Everything we were taught — fight, push, control — is the opposite of what actually works. I didn't read that. I lived it. And once you see it, you can't unsee it.
From high-tech to wildlife activism — a path that led to the discovery of what presence really means
A friendship with Kevin Richardson — the world's most recognized lion conservationist — that became the living proof of this methodology
To bring what lions taught Kevin, and Kevin taught me, into every organization ready to stop fighting and start leading from presence
Kevin didn't teach me about lions. He taught me that when you are fully present — truly, completely here — you become the most powerful version of yourself. That is what I now bring to every organization I work with.
The Framework
Every organizational investment in people flows through one of these four pillars. All of them are downstream of presence.
Feeling good at work — body, mind, emotions. Presence is the only state in which true wellbeing is possible.
Performing well — focus, flow, output. Efficiency requires focus. Focus is presence. There is no shortcut.
Purpose felt fully in the present moment. Meaning cannot be found in the past or future. It exists only here.
Responding — not reacting — under pressure. The capacity to return to presence faster than fear.
Maximum Presence is not one more item on the list.
It is the source of the list.
The Inspiration
A lion can hurt you once. The movie running in your head — the stories, the assumptions, the rehearsed fears — hurts you every single day, without you ever feeling the bite.
Kevin Richardson — The Lion Whisperer — walks daily among wild lions in South Africa. No drugs. No cages. No tricks. He is the one person on Earth who is not allowed to be inside his own head — because if he is, he doesn't survive.
"We have turned our back on the certain guidance of instinct — and thus surrendered to fear." — Carl Jung
The Journey
I left a career in tech to fight for lions facing extinction. I became an activist — protesting, campaigning, pushing as hard as I could, one hundred percent certain that fighting was the only way to change the world.
I met Professor Uri Sheines. He didn't shout. He didn't protest. He said: "Lee, instead of protecting one lion — buy his land. The whole ecosystem. Forever. Because a poacher with no land to hunt in — doesn't hunt." Simple. Brilliant. Impossible to fight.
I stood there in shock. All those years of fighting, running, shouting — I had been living in my own story about how change happens. He didn't teach me a strategy. He pulled me out of the movie. And in that same second, I saw a solution that had been sitting there all along.
"Sometimes the solution isn't to fight — it's to step outside your own story long enough to see what was there the whole time."
Real Impact
A portion of every keynote fee goes directly to the TiME Foundation — This Is My Earth — which purchases at-risk land and turns it into a protected nature reserve forever.
This is not a charity partnership. It is a personal commitment. I already protect 825 m² of rainforest in Peroles, Peru — and every organization that books a keynote adds to that.
The Bigger Picture
Every keynote booking does something no other leadership investment can do: it permanently protects a piece of the Earth — in your organization's name — forever. Not a donation. Not a tax receipt. A certificate. A place on the map. A legacy that outlasts any quarterly report.
Your organization brings Maximum Presence to your people — a keynote, workshop, or full partnership. Real transformation, not motivational fluff.
A portion of the fee goes directly to the TiME Foundation — This Is My Earth — which purchases at-risk land in places like the Amazon rainforest, before it can be destroyed. Permanently.
Your organization receives an official Certificate of Appreciation from TiME — with your name, the exact land area in square meters, and the location. Protected. On the map. Forever.
This is my personal certificate — 825 m² of rainforest in Peroles, Peru, protected in my name since 2024.
When you book a keynote, your organization receives one just like it. Your name. Your land. Your legacy. In one of the most biodiverse, most endangered places on Earth.
This isn't charity. This is Maximum Presence as a way of doing business — instead of fighting destruction, we create protection.
Book a keynote and your organization's name joins the map of protected land — in one of the most beautiful, most endangered places in the world.

What People Say
"I came in thinking this was another leadership seminar. I left understanding that everything my team was missing had the same root — we were never actually here with each other."
"The lion's den story hit differently than any case study I've heard in a corporate setting. When you feel the stakes, you understand what's actually at risk when you're not present."
"Three months after the workshop, our team is still using the framework. It gave us a shared language for something we all felt but couldn't name — and that's genuinely rare."
Every organization has one. The question is what your people do when they're in it.
